BEDCO and Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) seals a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

This week BEDCO and Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) sealed a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at boosting capacity-building efforts for MSMEs. Through this initiative, LIA will enhance the capacity building work of the BEDCO by providing business advisory, business development, strategy, risk, auditing, financial management and reporting services as well as related accounting and auditing services to MSMEs. 

LIA will further provide inhouse accounting services to MSMEs through its Graduates and Trainees who are being trained under LIA accredited employer scheme. This will enable the MSMEs to get the accounting services that will help them in Planning, Monitoring and Controlling their activities and resources effectively and make informed business decisions on a daily basis.

The MoU aims to strengthen the support structure for MSMEs in Lesotho by leveraging the expertise and resources of both BEDCO and LIA. Through this partnership, we aspire to create a more robust environment for the development and growth of MSMEs, ultimately contributing to the economic prosperity of Lesotho.
