The Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO) is an agency of the Government of Lesotho that was established by an Act of Parliament: BEDCO Act No.9 of 1980 (as amended). The Corporation provides the following services to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs):

• Business Development Support Services.

• Business Capacitation.

• Incubation.

• Facilitation of access to Finance.

• Facilitation of access to Markets.

• Entrepreneurship Promotion.

 

To effectively deliver on its mandate the Corporation carried out an institutional review process in 2020 which resulted in a new strategic direction and a new organizational structure to support the new strategy.

 

BEDCO is therefore looking for a suitably qualified candidates to join its Team in the following Positions;

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Senior Manager IT

​

Leverage maximum utilization of technology, data, and information to drive BEDCO’s business strategy and operational efficiency as well as MSME’s support delivery. Develop effective ICT processes, policies and procedures for effective deployment and safekeeping for both material and intellectual property of the Corporation.

Degree in computer science or Information technology systems, or related field. With eight (8) years’ working experience in ICT environment at the Managerial level, preferably in a corporate environment.

    2 .Senior Manager Marketing, Communication, Stakeholder Relations

​

Plan and lead the implementation of effective marketing communication of BEDCO’s brand identity, products, manage partner and stakeholder’s relations in order to promote the Corporation’s image locally and internationally.

Post graduate degree in communication and marketing/in Media studies/Journalism and stakeholders’ Management qualification or related field. With eight (8) years’ working experience in marketing, communication, and stakeholder’s environment at Managerial level, preferably in a corporate environment.

    3. Specialist Market   Development

​

Develop particular market segments for BEDCO’s entrepreneurs’ products and services,

Promote entrepreneurs’ products and services to potential and existing customers.

Degree in Marketing, or Market related Business degrees. With three (3) years’ working experience in market development activities and approaches.

     4. Specialist Program Monitoring and Evaluation

​

Facilitate BEDCO’s strategy formulation process, projects planning and coordinate the operational monitoring and evaluation service activities.

Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field. With three (3) years working experience in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation professional environment.

Term of Contract: The Senior Management positions will be on a five (5) year fixed term contract, renewable based on performance, and the Specialist positions are on a permanent and pensionable basis.

 

Remuneration: BEDCO offers competitive Market related remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
