2007 CAREER OPPORTUNITIES  

Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO), which renders assistance to indigenous Small Scale Enterprises, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Position of Accountant. 

PURPOSE:

The candidate will be in charge of BEDCO’s Micro Finance clients’ accounts and preparing financial reports for Micro – Finance Section. 

SPECIFIC TASKS:

• Production of Debtors Ledger

• Reconcile debtors/ledger on a monthly basis in accordance with the agreed timetable

• Ensure that statements are sent to debtors on a monthly basis, and attend to disputes and complaints from debtors.

• Maintains records of cheque payments and all monies received and reports any irregularities

• Prepares Micro – Finance bank reconciliation statements

QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant should be a Technical Accountant with relevant experience of three years in relation to the job and must be computer literate.
